Go big with affiliate marketing stats for august
Just like the first and second month blog report, I’ve concentrated in improving these critical metrics such as total page views, number of sessions, sources that gives me consistent traffic, total share count for all my posts, average time spent in the site, bounce rate, number of total/new/returning visitors, and devices used by my visitors to navigate this blog.
Also, I am starting to track whether I am ranking for more keywords than the previous month, what keywords I currently rank for, where’s my average position stands for in terms of each query, and the improvement of my site for the overall average position.
Here’s the stats list of go big with affiliate marketing for august.
- Total page views. 1127.
- Number of sessions. 633.
- Consistent traffic source. Facebook.
- Total share count for all my posts. 500.

Apart from these stats, I am starting to rank for many keywords related to my niche, and the count is higher than the previous month. Also, the average position for the queries I rank for improved significantly, and the average position of my site in the search result pages moved up considerably as well.
Mistakes I made in my second month blog report
The only mistake I made in my second month blog report is that I didn’t tell you about the total visitors I got for that particular month.
So, here it is.
- Total visitors. 359.
- New visitors. 314.
- Returning visitors. 49.
My findings as a three months old blogger
As a new blogger, you are tempted to dip your toe in all social media platforms. In the hopes of bringing more traffic, you even try to promote your blog in all social channels.
Ask yourself this question. Is it a right strategy?
From what I’ve found out, it is not at all the right strategy. You may do it successfully for few months, but you’ll quickly burnout.
If that’s the case, what should you do instead?
Pick a couple of social media platforms and create a full-fledged strategy to promote your blog in there. Give one month time and see the results.
If they are somewhat favorable or starting to pick up steam, continue with it and make changes as you go along. If it isn’t working, repeat the process once again.
It may sound like a lot of work, but trust me, the rewards you get out of it is worth the effort!

My major traffic source
For the third month in a row, facebook is my number one traffic source. In fact, I am happy to say that I’ve developed a wonderful strategy to promote my blog in facebook groups.
What is it?
Well, promoting my posts with a powerful message that has a problem related to my audience, and a little description of the solution.
When you promote this way, I am sure that you’ll reap quality rewards!
Use this strategy and let me know whether you find it helpful!

hey Nancy Richardson,
thank you very much for your appreciation!
I am also pretty new to blogging and this was really helpful as a way to see how other new bloggers out there are doing and how I can improve! A word of advice, I have been using Pinterest for a Long time not just with my blog, and following people is not a huge thing anymore because of the way they have updated the site. I know extremely successful bloggers with 1million views a month on their Pinterest with less than 10 followers. So absolutely no sweat if you don’t have a lot of followers, it’s more about how many pin interactions and views on your page you get a month! 🙂
hey Maia,
thanks for your comment.

First of all, congratulations on being accepted for those affiliate programs. I have always loved ur content and will be referring your blog to some of my blogger friends too. I need a quick clarification , if you don’t mind- for amazon associates, what does it mean to generate qualifying sales?

hey Navita Bhatia,
that’s so kind of you!
thank you very much for your highly appreciative comment.
in simple terms, a qualifying sale means someone completing a purchase in Amazon through your affiliate link.
let’s say you are writing a post and you place some Amazon affiliate links in there.
when someone lands on your post, read it fully, decides to make a purchase, click through your Amazon affiliate link, and eventually purchases anything in Amazon within 24 hours.
congratulations! you’ve generated a qualifying sale!
hope it helps.
… but they cannot be friends or family….
