If you check my first month and second-month blogging reports, you’ll notice how important Facebook groups played a part in increasing my blog’s visibility and traffic.

Google even ranked 4 of my posts in page 4/5ish! I fully aware that it isn’t a significant result. But for a 2.5 months old blog, it’s amazing!

In this post, we are gonna discuss:

Why you need to join Facebook groups?

Here’s a list of reasons why you need to join Facebook groups.

  • Community and likeminded people. Facebook groups are filled with beginners and experienced people alike. Let’s face it. Blogging is most of the time a lonely endeavor, especially when you are getting started. You may not have people who understand what you are doing. That’s where Facebook groups come in handy. You can interact with one another, exchange ideas, collaborate, make friendships, and do much more.
  • Network with other bloggers. Generally, networking is a key factor in any business. Blogging is no different. When we think of networking, we quickly come to a conclusion that it’s a face to face conversation. But this isn’t always the case. You can network with the people in your Facebook groups. There are a lot of ways you can network, but a simple way to get started is to provide valuable help to someone.
  • It’s so much easier for you as a new blogger to connect and collaborate with likeminded people in your niche. Facebook groups are particularly setup for this. You can share resources with one another and give and receive help when needed. There are even Facebook groups where members share job opportunities with each other, free and quality paid workshops, get new clients, and so on.
  • Facebook groups are full of knowledge. As a member of many Facebook groups, I’ve gained so much related to blogging and the business side of it. You can learn a lot from others. In most Facebook groups, you can ask questions and browse older threads to learn the many aspects of blogging. In my experience, the best possible way for you to learn anything related to blogging is to ask questions. In the beginning, you may have a lot to ask, but please don’t hesitate. People will surely help you!

Why you need to promote your blog posts on Facebook groups?

There are a ton of reasons why you need to promote your blog posts on Facebook groups. But here are two key reasons why you need to do it immediately.

You will get new visitors for your blog, if those visitors like your content, they will comment and share your work with their network. And who knows, they can even subscribe to your blog and become raving fans/future customers to your business!

We all love that. Right?

To add some more context to promoting your blog posts on Facebook groups, here are some numbers from my blog.

  • At the time of me writing this post, I have over 300 comments and 250 shares of all my posts combined.
  • 4 of my posts rank page 4/5ish in Google.
  • I have over 10 subscribers to my blog.

These are not bad results for a 2.5 months old blog!

Can you see the value?

Here’s an important thing to note. Although you launch your blog and index it in Google, nobody will have any chance of finding your blog until you promote.

Facebook groups can be the all-important first step in getting your blog out to the universe!

Things you need to follow to stay in any Facebook group

The simple answer that I can give you to stay in any Facebook group is to follow the rules set by the admins. I know, you may lose count of how many Facebook groups you are a member of after some time, but that doesn’t count as a valid reason.

Some areas you need to follow rules include.

  • When posting in a group.
  • When posting in promotional threads.
  • When commenting in both promotional threads and posts.

In case you fail to follow the rules, either you may be warned and removed from the group if you continue to violate the rules, or in some extreme cases, you may be removed without any warning.

But here’s the thing.

You are a great person and you won’t be a problem maker, so this won’t apply to you!

Is it necessary to join in niche related Facebook groups?

A big YES! Niche related Facebook groups give you plenty of exposure to learning from the experienced people, provide you several chances to interact with the group members, make new friends and build quality relationships, allow you to bounce off ideas, and the benefits are endless!

One thing you need to carefully consider is that not every Facebook group is created equal. There are a lot of spammy groups, and it is challenging to find out which ones are worth joining. If this is the scenario, what to do?

Well, you don’t have to worry!

The groups that I’ve mentioned in this post consists of people who blog in multiple niches. When you ask any suggestion in those groups, I am sure that you’ll get quality answers. You have to be in as a member to experience the value, and the depth of knowledge these people have in their field!

conclusion

I hope that this post, the best 15 Facebook groups for beginner bloggers helped you to choose a quality community that is full of knowledgeable and helpful people. Most times, blogging can be lonely and you need a group that has your back.

What do you think of these suggestions, share your thoughts in the comments!
